Continuous Improvement
As a part of Central City Cyberschool's plan for continuous improvement and helping students take responsibility for their learning, the school designed goals to reach by the end of the 2018-2019 school year. The goals cover Reading, Writing, Math, and Culture. These goals were then broken down by individual classrooms and teachers.
The goals for 6th grade are as follows:
Math
100% of students in 6th grade will demonstrate proficiency on at least 80% of the grade level CCSS in mathematics by year-end.
Reading
100% of 4th - 8th graders will reach their reading growth goal as demonstrated on their end-of-year QRI-5/ARI assessment.
Writing
100% of students in K-8 will score a 3 on the final end-of-the-year narrative writing assessment that will be scored using the Lucy Calkins Units of Study Narrative Writing Rubric.
Culture
100% of C3 staff, students, and parents will demonstrate behaviors that reflect a respectful, safe, and nurturing school environment as measured quarterly by a variety of tools such as observations, log entries, and student/staff surveys.
As a 6th grade class, we wrote our mission statement as well. (Why are WE here?)
